For this set of still life images I set them up on a white paper background. The dice were laying on a table where some natural light was coming in. For the four pictures I stacked some of the dice and I also randomly rolled the dice and took a picture of how they landed. These images show different colored dice and it is important to document them through photography. This is because dice can be life. You do not always know what your outcome is going to be but you can learn to make the best out of what you do have.

This still life set is of crayons. I set up the pictures by placing crayons on top of each other and also randomly scattering them. I took pictures directly above the crayons and I also held my camera level with the table on which they were set up. I also focused on single crayons in the pictures to create depth. I think it is important to document these crayons because as I have gotten older I rarely use them anymore and I feel like they represent creativity and also ones ability to bring color to their life.

I took pictures of erasers shaped like puzzle pieces for this still life set. I placed the erasers randomly on a white paper background and I also put some in a certain design. In one of the pictures I placed them in the outline of a smiley face. I chose to take pictures of erasers because I think they can symbolize mistakes and also the ability to start new. Erasers serve the purpose of getting rid of a mistake or unwanted mark. It is just nice to remember that you can make change in your life and not be afraid to try and fail.

For this set of still life images I chose to take pictures of colored pencils. I set them up in different shapes and patterns and I also placed them randomly. I chose to overlap some of the colored pencils to create a lattice design and also create a representation of a star and space invader. It is important to document this through photography because I like how colored pencils are delicate and should be treated as if they are fragile because if dropped, the led inside can break. And, this view can parallel life in the way that we should take of ourselves and people should also respect others and property-big or small.

This set of still life images shows markers. I placed them on on a white paper background. For these pictures I took random shots of markers placed down and scattered on the table. I wanted to take pictures of these markers because out of all the writing utensils, markers are my favorite. I love to doodle and draw so I thought I would take photos of some of the objects that make it possible. I think it is important to document these markers through photos because all though they are something we often use and overlook, they are fun and bring color to life.
